Our

Lottery Policy

Providing a transparent and just enrollment process

Enrollment
Preferences

According to Puerto Rico Law 85-2018, specifically Article 13.02(d) and 13.02(e) define that the process carried out by any Charter School will have to give enrollment preference in the selection of students to:

1. Those who were enrolled in the school during the previous year, unless they have been expelled with justification, except for any reason of an academic nature;

2. To the siblings of students who are enrolled in the school; and

3. To students who reside in the surrounding community.

4. To students who reside within the regional limits of the school.

Students will be considered in the order of the preferences presented above. Separate lists will be created for each of the preferences. In the case of having more students than available spaces, these will be selected according to the order of preferences and the record (day and time) of the process of delivery of admission documents was completed by each family.

Lottery
Preferences

Caribbean Global assigns preferences in the lottery process to students in accordance with Law 85-2018, and as an effort to serve students in the community and fulfill the mission established as an educational entity.

Now, the following preferences will be established to grant the remaining spaces (if any) among those applicants who do not meet the enrollment preference described above.

This offer corresponds to any future lottery the institution engagers, (each premise will be assigned an amount corresponding to the weight for the lottery process):

1. Students who have successfully completed a voluntary preschool or pre-kindergarten education program. (weight of 2)

2. Families committed to enrolling in our school model based on the approach to two generations. This model promotes the integration of families as part of the school community, spaces and support services are guaranteed for the other members of the family and the integral development of that nucleus is sought. The families' commitment to enroll will be specified in a document where they will express their understanding and commitment to the school model (weight of 1).

3. Students who are children of employees at Caribbean Global School (weight of 1)
